Rocks and Minerals 101 w/ Harvey Duchene

In this three-hour class, you will learn about the volcanic origin of rocks and minerals found around Lake City. You will also learn the difference between igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks. The last half of the class focuses on minerals common around Lake City and includes hands-on analysis of a mystery specimen. August 10th at 9 AM Till 12 PM. $40 for adults and $25 for children 11-14.
